Nothing gets you in the mood for the holidays quite like a nice, cozy bonfire. And what better place to throw such a shindig than in the white-hot Arts + Entertainment District, fresh off a fantastic Art Basel week.
“Bonfire Under the Moonlight” will be the place to be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17 at the future site of CANVAS, a 37-story, planned residential building that will break ground next year in the heart of the District (90 NE 17th St., downtown Miami). It’s free, but you must RSVP to RSVP@aedistrictmiami.com.
Here’s what will go down at the hoedown: Local singer/songwriter Jacob Jeffries will perform his lively brand of piano-driven pop tunes (opening is the Robby Hunter Band), while guests nosh on yummy bites from Ms. Cheezious and free s’mores and PBR (that’s Pabst Blue Ribbon, for the hip-abbreviation-challenged crowd).
And there will be plenty of comfy outdoor furniture and three fire pits to ensure a stress-free bonfire experience, plus fun fireside activities to stoke up some nostalgia for your overly romanticized childhood.
So what are you waiting for? RSVP now!
