International Salsa Festival takes over Tamiami Park for three days of salsa's finest performers

Salsa lovers are going to dance right through their shoes this weekend with the impressive line-up offered at this festival: Friday night stars José Alberto El Canario, Ismael Miranda and Los Adolescentes; Saturday features Rey Ruiz, Luis Enrique (pictured) and Willie Colon; Sunday is presided over by Tito Nieves, La India and Willy Chirino. The concerts will also include DJs, dancers, up-and-coming local bands, tributes to salsa legends and more. Thursday the festival hosts its Opening Night Gala with a tribute to El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico which will be accompanied by La Sonora Poceña at the James L.Knight Center in Downtown Miami.

The festival takes place at Tamiami Park, 11201 SW 24th St., Miami, from 3 to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m-11 p.m. Saturday through Sunday. Tickets are $35.75 at Ticketmaster; VIP available. Find more information at internationalsalsafestival.com.
