Just off the heels of an MLB All-Star Week frenzy, Miami’s melting pot population is ready to get back to their soccer craze leading up to the International Champions Cup El Clásico Miami at Hard Rock Stadium. The match pits inner country rivals FC Barcelona against Real Madrid C.F. But what kind of event would it be (in Miami especially) without a week of events and parties leading up to the big day. Here’s a guide to what’s going on around the city:

1. Paris Saint-Germain vs. Juventus

Like watching two fighters pummel each other with what seem to be no rules of any kind? No, that’s not the official definition of Mixed Martial Arts (or MMA) but it sure seems like a good fit. Usually a venue for art and fashion events, Mana Wynwood is hosting Combate Clásico a live television event, a 10-bout affair pitting rival players Tommy Aaron and Javier Fuentes in the key match-up. It kicks off at 7 p.m.

But if all this is just too much for you, of course they’re having a watch party at CityPlace in Doral starting at 5 p.m. Personalities from ESPN Deportes 990 AM, Actualidad Radio 1040 AM and Exitos 107.1 FM will all host, entertain and comment and give away a soccer jersey during halftime.
