Looking for a night of seriously good food with a side of art? Meet Taste of Design.
Held Nov. 12 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the historic Moore Building in the Design District, the annual fundraiser has become a go-to event, celebrating the spirit and ingenuity of Miami’s Design and Architecture Senior High, one of the nation’s premiere public schools.
This year’s festivities will include dishes from acclaimed chef Dewey Lossaso – whose celebrated clients at Bill Hansen Catering include Pres. Barack Obama and Bill Gates ‑ and works from Miami’s next generation of promising artists.
Money raised by the night’s festivities helps send DASH students to pre-college programs critical to their studies. Students last year were able to attend Parsons, the Schools for Visual Arts in New York and other prestigious programs around the country.
In addition to Lossaso, Miami favorites Soyka, the Crepe Maker, Divieto’s and Enchanting Creations round out the night’s menu. Southern Wine & Spirits will provide a mix of cocktails. The evening also includes a silent auction with works from the school’s artists, spa outings, exotic vacations, home goods, and hot tickets to area shows. Lynn Martinez, co-anchor of WSVN-TV’s Deco Drive, will reprise her role as Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening.
Tickets are $100 with sponsorships ranging from $5,000 to $1,000 available. For more information, please visit or email: email@example.com.
