On Wednesday Simon Property Group and Dadeland Mall will unveiled details about their two-story redevelopment to media at 2:30 p.m. Attendees were privy to see a rendering revealing the new look for the mall. Plus, a tile-breaking ceremony led by Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Giminez, Greater Miami and the Beaches Convention and Visitors Bureau President
representative Gisela Marti and Pamela Fuertes of The Beacon Council.
The new additions coming to Dadeland Mall include:
102,000 square feet of Gross Leasable Area with an
estimated completion date of Spring, 2013.
18-20 new retailers; 6 new restaurants; an estimated 320 new jobs will be added.
A new wing of retailers on the lower level with a ‘Fashion Runway’complete with luminous cube bollards, tree sculptures, fountain, and a uxury valet with distinctive valet canopies.
The ‘Modern Gallery’ interior theme with stone-clad columns will be
sophisticated and uniquely Miami.
Colors of the sand and sea – gold, beige, and turquoise – will be
sprinkled throughout and there will also be a Missoni-inspired feature
Long, linear and luxurious custom seating as well as modern plants and pots.
More than 300 new spaces added to the existing parking deck.
Two new parking levels are expected to be ready to accommodate
vehicles beginning this summer.
