Critical Mass takes aim on Venetian Causeway this Friday

The Critical Mass bike ride is an event that draws thousands of cyclists and will be coming to the streets of Miami Beach on Friday, March 25 beginning at 7:15 p.m.

The event will adversely affect traffic for a minimum of three hours.

This is not a city sanctioned or permitted event; however, in the interest of public safety Miami Beach Police Department will have officers at key intersections along the route.

The cyclists will be entering Miami Beach via the 79 Street Causeway continuing eastbound along 71 Street then south at Indian Creek Drive towards 63 Street. They will continue south along Collins Avenue to 23rd Street then west to Dade Boulevard.  At Dade Boulevard, cyclists will head west towards the Venetian Causeway where they will exit Miami Beach and continue into the City of Miami.

The Venetian Causeway was re-opened on Feb. 29 after a complete reconstruction of the westernmost stretch.
