City Theatre and Island City Stage team up for Shorts Gone Wild

City Theatre’s Summer Shorts has come and gone, but that simply means it’s time for Shorts Gone Wild 3, a collection of adult, LGBT-themed short plays co-produced by City Theatre and Fort Lauderdale’s Island City Stage.

With one surprise past hit still to be announced, the plays this year will be The One by Sheri Wilner, Hands by Becca Schlossberg, The Anthropology Section by Patricia Cotter, I’m Going First by Michael Leeds, Oldest Living Chorus Boy Tells All or The Last of Billy Button by Tony Finstrom, Quiche or Quinoa by Stuart Meltzer and The Agenda by Michael McKeever.
Antonio Amadeo, Niki Fridh, Gladys Ramirez, Christina Groom, Larry Buzzeo and Craig Moody are in the acting company, and John Manzelli, Andy Rogow, Gail Garrisan and Kevin Black are the directors.

The plays will run at Empire Stage, 1140 N. Flagler Dr., Fort Lauderdale, Aug. 6-Sept. 6, then will move to the Fillmore Miami Beach, 1700 Washington Ave., Sept. 10-13. Tickets are $30 (but if you buy by Aug. 1 and use the code “Early,” you can save $5). Performances will be at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, 5 p.m. Sunday.
