Celebrity Makeup Artist Gives Beauty Tips for New Year's Eve Looks

Celebrity makeup artist Tim Quinn knows all about turning women into red carpet glamazons. From Kim Cattrall to Gwen Stefani and Kate Bosworth, Quinn has beautified countless A-listers. We decided to chat up the National Director of Makeup Artistry for Giorgio Armani on the best makeup tips to get New Year’s Eve ready and stay fresh faced the whole night through.

Miami gals love smokey eyes, but what’s the hot look this year?
Move away from dark smokey eyes and wear more metallic sheen on the eyes. The New Eyes to Kill shadows have 18 hour wear, are creaseproof and water resistant. It’s perfect for dancing the night away.

Is red lipstick the way to go?
Red is not the only option. There’s plum, fuchsia and coral. Keep the nude for day wear.

How can we get all around glowing skin without tanning?
I love Hampton Sun shimmer spray for the body. It gives a great subtle sheen to the legs, arms, and whatever else you’re revealing.

What are the must-have essentials to tote around on the big night?
Carry a concealer in your evening clutch, perfect for any touchups as the evening progresses as well as lipstick for refreshing and a compact bronzer. A little touch of golden bronzer works wonders to revive your look.

On New Year’s Day, Miami gals love to brunch. How can we look like we got 8 hours of beauty sleep?
My favorite product is the Clarisonic skin brush. Use it for two minutes with your favorite cleanser and your skin will look refreshed and glowing. Crema Nera eye cream will revive tired puffy eyes and Tammy Fender’s Spontaneous Recovery Creme is my go to cream for immediate glowing skin.
