Behold the Uber of Nail Salons, Miami

Time-strapped and in desperate need of a manicure or pedicure? Fret not, as Pretty Nails 2 Go is here to help those unkempt hands and feet. The salon, nestled inside a 12-person Ford-350 that travels around the South Florida areas, has been open for a little over a year and is the brainchild of Maria Kamboykos.

“We all live very busy lives and I saw the necessity for a mobile salon. I remember it was raining one day and it took me three hours — between parking and waiting — to get a manicure and pedicure,” the executive assistant at a private bank in Brickell says.

“So my idea was to make life easier for people who want to do their nails but don’t have time to go to the salon. The idea was — why not have the salon go to them?” Komboykos adds.

With the help of her husband Guillermo Aguilar, the idea of Pretty Nails 2 Go was spa-wned (pun intended). Manicures cost $15, pedicures cost $30 and waxing services are on the menu, too, with eyebrows costing $20 and upper-lip waxing priced at $12.

“We travel to offices, residences, bachelorette parties, birthday celebrations and are even in talks to visit a local children’s hospital,” Kamboykos says.

A gander inside one of the two business’ vans, tells a personalized story. Each one boasts a full-functioning air-conditioned nail salon, which includes two manicure and pedicure stations, a wash sink, a bathroom, lounge-like seating, a television with Apple TV, electrical outlets and Wi-Fi.

Nailed it.
