Miami Chic chatted up Bal Harbour boutique Gee Beauty on their favorite looks from The Oscars. Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez and Viola Davis topped their list. Here’s Gee Beauty’s recommendations on how to achieve red carpet ready beauty.
Red Carpet Look: Sun-kissed and Sophisticated
Must Have: Glamglow Mud Mask to lift impurities and provide a gentle exfoliation. Follow with a hydrating serum like Dr. Sebagh’s Serum Repair, and a cream for luminosity, like Dr. Sebagh’s Luminous Glow.
Makeup Tips: Sheer and golden shadows on the eyes, lightly rimmed with liner, pair with a glossy blush-nude lip. Bronzer with a touch of pink blush.
Red Carpet Look: 1960’s Elizabeth Taylor
Must Have: Gee Beauty’s Brush On Brow, Scott Barnes’ Body Bling, Bullet multidimensional shadow, Mix Shark.
Makeup Tips: Vanilla shadow all over the eye, dusting icy baby blue and lavender shadows on the lid. Use liner along the upper lash-line, winging the line out and up as you extend to the outer corners. Add a set of soft faux lashes and define the brow with a medium taupe powder.
Red Carpet Look:
Must Have: Jade shadow, Coal Powderliner, Kre-At Beauty lashes.
Makeup Tips: Shimmering electric green shadow on the lid, mix with a light shade in the crease and a touch of taupe under the brow bone. Try our on the lid, sweeping from the outer corners towards the center. Rim upper lash line (inside and out) with a black soft kohl pencil. Work lashes with 5 coats of mascara and apply a set of thicker black lashes to the top lash-line.
