Accessible Art: Knight Arts Challenge hosts kickoff at Gramps and works by Red Wolf pop up at Kelley Roy Gallery

Knights Arts Challenge South Florida is accepting applications to fund the best ideas for bringing the community together through the arts. Anyone can apply with 150 words for the initial application available at knightarts.org. Three rules state the idea must be about the arts, the project must take place in or benefit South Florida and the grant recipients must find matching funds. The kickoff party is Tuesday, Jan. 27 from 6 – 8:30 pm. at Gramps, 176 NW 24th St., Miami. The deadline for applications is Feb. 23. 

New at Kelley Roy Gallery

“Illumination” by Miami artist Red Wolf is on view at the Kelley Roy Gallery through Fe. 28. He etches the subject into honeycomb aluminum and uses complex combinations of grinding metal, film, and glazes to achieve an illumination or optical illusion. Harvey Littleton in Kendall

“No Secrets” celebrates the life and work of the late glassmaker, printmaker, and founder of Littleton Studios, Harvey Littleton. Approximately 50 prints are featured in the Miami Dade College exhibition highlighting the myriad artists who worked at his studio over the years.
