7 Tips for a Better Bikini Butt

As bikini season creeps closer, it’s time to get your Kim Kardashian butt in gear at the gym. With this in mind, we’ve sought the help of the top booty buster in the industry — Former Miami HEAT Dancer, Tiffany Jackson. Lucky for those of us in the 305, Jackson is bringing her signature BootyWork class ($30) to Miami Beach health and wellness studio, Anatomy at 1220 . The upbeat, energetic workout fuses hip-hop and fitness into one 45-minute sweat sesh and takes place every Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Here, Jackson shares her best tips on transforming your backside:

1. Eat This For a Better Rear End

You know the saying, “You are what you eat.” Certain foods are known to help the growth of Booty! Which ones? Broccoli, almonds, sweet potatoes along with high protein foods such as salmon, eggs and soybeans are known to help the growth of the gluteus!


2. Pound it Out

Squats (picture here) are known for getting the booty lifted and toned, but like any other exercise if repeated enough, the muscle will begin to set into one place. That’s when you need to “Pound It Out.” So perform the same squat sequence and just add weight. Whether it’s a dumbbell to hold while squatting or ankle weights while doing leg lifts — the extra weight will continue challenge the muscle — which will help the growth. 

3. Walk This Way

While walking as you go about your day, add a few lunges. Perform 10 lunge walks sporadically throughout the day and you will start to notice a difference in the shape of the booty. Pinky promise!

4. Act Like Royalty

Make like Queen Elizabeth and mind your posture like royalty. Whether sitting or standing, hold your shoulders back, point your chin up and you’ll notice how the lower back lifts. This small lift helps the illusion of the booty plumping up. So ladies… shoulders back, chin up (never down) and don’t ever drop that crown!

5. The Fit is It

When shopping for the perfect swimsuit makes sure to shop for your shape and not trends. You know what works best for your body type. Sure, trends are fun, but looking a hot mess isn’t. 

6. Slow and Steady Wins

Remember the tale of the tortoise and the hare? Slow and steady wins the race. Results don’t come over night so don’t get discouraged, okay? Okay!
