CamCon has returned to Miami Beach, bringing the notorious “Cam Girls” that make their living getting frisky via webcams from the privacy of their homes (or wherever they are). The cottage industry has turned into big business and the annual convention brings the models, fans and the tech companies that support the industry together for a giant love fest IRL. Here is why you don’t get to act like Cam Con is not a big deal.
1. Cam Girls, obviously
These are women who have achieved Internet infamy from their own homes. Some do porny stuff. Some do not. Some just sit there and peel bananas while a guy watches. The point is a lot of these girls are making a living at this and they need to stay in the know when it comes to their industry. Confirmed Models include SpicyJ, LittleRedBunny, BuniBuni, Kendra Sunderland, Miss Karmen, Sabra Steele, Sara Jay, Kylie Cupcake, Dava Foxx, Jamie Michelle, Isabel Black, Tina Marie, Alana Thai, Nikki Beez, BettyBangxxx, Selena Kyle, Ember Skye, Brittany Rose, Courtney Shane and more.
2. Instagram Models
Instagram has become another way for the bodacious to earn some cheddar. Popular models can accumulate millions of followers, each waiting to catch a glimpse of her in a thong at a beach in Mexico sipping coconut milk through a straw. Cam Con founder Clinton Cox says there will be two huge Instagram models in attendance, which means that whole scenario will play out at the SLS Hotel in Miami Beach.
There is a saying in technology: “As the adult industry goes, so goes tech.” Or something like that. Cam Con is bringing together knowlegable tech leaders from 25 companies plus even more from overlapping industries for workshops, seminars and a trade show to exhibit their latest inventions. Adult content has been pushing technology to the limits and been on the forefront of monetizing the Internet at every level, but the tech involved in camming has multiple applications beyond adult entertainment as well. Just don’t ask us what they are yet.
4. Industry day
For models that want to take camming to a new level, Cam Con will host Industry Day in the Penthouse of the Raleigh Hotel. Industry Day will feature seminars, breakout sessions and group discussions in addition to booths and special promotions. They can learn about products like ChatStar, developed to help Instagram models create money with their fan base, while producing content within their comfort zones and distributing exclusive content for their most devoted fans, or Model Centro, a platform that gives motivated models the opportunity to create their own website and build their brand for either adult or mainstream markets.
For those that want to meet their favorite Cam Girls in a non-threatening environment, Cam Con is the best place to do so without coming across as a stalker.
