The second month of the annual classical music festival brings performances by Christine Goerke and Alan Held of scenes from Wagner’s Die Walküre, classic stagings of Puccini’s La bohème, Britten’s The Turn of the Screw, Robert Ward’s retelling of The Crucible along with the Family Opera Series and much more.

International Hispanic Theatre Festival

Teatro Avante’s annual festival puts international theater in the spotlight with three weeks of educational workshops, performances and special events by the best theater companies from around Latin America, the United States and Europe. This year’s festival highlights Uruguay’s contributions to the arts with several performances by the country’s theater companies.

Miami Salsa Congress

The five-day Latin music and dance festival is where you’ll learn to swivel your hips and move to the salsa beat from a variety of instructors. It’s also a chance to watch the experts including Karel Flores, Fortezza Dance Company, Amy Figueiras Dominguez, Salsa Synergy, Elite International Dance Academy and dozens more. Several DJs will be on hand to keep the beat going.
