Miami Swim Week kicked off with a bang with MIAMI Magazine's unofficial kick-off party SPLASHION, where it rocked the house at Mansion Nightclub in Miami Beach. DJ Irie, official DJ of the Miami Heat, got the crowd started with his signature beats as guests rubbed elbows with fellow partiers. But nothing gets a party going in Miami like an open bar and Cointreau provided the goods, serving up circus-inspired drinks like the Big Top Cosmo (Cointreau, cranberry juice, lemon juice and Perrier mineral water) and Beck's providing some of their latest Sapphire beer. For those looking for non-alcoholic treats, Pinkberry brought their health-conscious and delicious frozen yogurts to sample.

R&B performing artist Jason Derulo brought his smooth sounds to the stage, dancing up a storm while performing fan favorites like "In My Head" and "Whatcha Say" while also dropping his latest single "The Other Side".

It's hard to beat star power like Jason Derulo but the real star of the night was the SPLASHION runway, which featured some of the latest collections from fashion powerhouses and fresh new lines. If the beautiful models look familiar, it's because they were Miami Dolphins cheerleaders sporting the latest swimwear looks that every lady will be coveting.

Jantzen showcased a line of body-hugging one-pieces that should be a favorite for girls who like to leave something to the imagination while hanging by the pool. JAG showed off a line of sporty swimwear that included colorful printed tankinis. Coral Gables boutique My Best Friend's Closet brought flirty bikinis with a touch of signature Miami flair.  The ladies in the crowd roared in delight when male models with polo mallets walked onto the runway to showcase the latest collection from Argentinian polo brand La Martina (the crowd also seemed to like the womenswear as well). Laundry by Shelli Segal brought skimpy but tasteful swimsuits in vibrant prints that had every girl pulling out their smartphones to snap Instagrams of. Finally, former Real Housewives of Miami star Cristy Rice showed off her Latin-inspired debut collection of barely there swimwear
