If you haven’t scored tickets to any of the invite-only Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2010 shows, don’t get bogged down, there are many satellite events open to the public. Between FUNKSHION swim shows at The Setai, gatherings at The Gansevoort Miami Beach Hotel and Mod Swim Week’s soirees at Nikki Beach and Mansion, here’s the skinny as to where locals, too, can live the life aquatic:

FRIDAY, JULY 16

Got ink? Designer Christian Audigier’s love of all things edgy and bold is reflected in his Ed Hardy swimwear. The tattoo-loving line will be showcased at The Rooftop at Gansevoort from 12 to 4 p.m. in the form of a pool party. Get ready to fist pump.

Shimmy on over to Nikki Beach as House of Jackie Brown and Betsy Moss shows commence at 7 p.m.

At 10:30 p.m., Michelle Jonas Travelwear will unveil its Spring 2011 collection at The Rooftop. Imagine Grecian-inspired dresses, resort wear rompers and skimpy bikinis. Entourage’s Perrey Reeves (yes, loudmouth Ari Gold’s wife) will be strutting her stuff on the catwalk as a celebrity model. Work it, Mrs. Ari Gold.

Doors at The Setai will be opening at 10 p.m. for the inca fashion show. Designer Stacy Josloff has a tribal-themed fete hidden up her BoHo sleeves as the 2011 collection takes the runways at 12 a.m.

And if you didn’t get enough of Devorah Rose on High Society, the socialite will be presenting 1 Sol Swimwear at Mansion come 11 p.m. Eat your heart out, Tinsley Mortimer. We kid.

SATURDAY, JULY 17

Denim junkies, rejoice, because True Religion has segued into swimwear. Sneak a peek at the label’s swim line at The Rooftop at Gansevoort’s pool party from 12 to 4 p.m. Expect vintage-American, hippie-esque styles in a dizzying array of colors and prints. Groovy, baby.

Nikki Beach will be bustling with Keva by Keva J., Azure Swim, Hermosa Jewelry and Kirsti Grinna Swimwear shows starting at 4 p.m. The omnipresent Kardashian clan are fans of Keva by Keva J. line — here’s your chance to find out why.

The Setai, on the other hand, will be alive with an 8:30 p.m. Sonia Vera Swimwear show and Laguna Beach Swimwear and Just Cavalli shows at 9:30 p.m. Sexy time.

SUNDAY, JULY 18

Check out Paula Herbert’s swim collection at The Setai at 9 p.m. The New Zealand beauty queen’s pieces are drop-dead gorgeous. No surprise there.

Swing by the Shore Club at 11 p.m. for the Caffé Swimwear official after party. Tween queen Miley Cyrus has been spotted in the label’s skimpy bikini. Clearly, she can’t be tamed.

Lastly, Miami’s own Lourdes “Luli” Hanimian and brother-in-law Augusto Hanimian will host a fashion show after party Gansevoort’s Coco de Ville at 11 p.m. The twosome’s collection called Luli Fama is influenced by the Caribbean and yep, you guessed it — SoBe.
