Summer Bites: Nibbles & bits from menus around town...
5 Napkin Burger brings its burger lunch to SoBe beginning today (June 22). Starting at 11:30am diners can feast on burgers, matzo ball soup, steak frites, fish & chips and more at the NY-based outpost.
The summer BBQ returns to 660 at The Angler’s Thursday (June 23). it's an a la carte summer feast - fried B&B pickles, bacon cheeseburger hush puppies, St. Louis ribs, barbecue chicken, Jack Daniel's baked bens and more. The fun runs Thursdays from 5-11pm.
Area 31 at the Epic is toasting summer with its new Raw, Rosé, Refresh promo. Pop into a weekday happy hour (Mon-Weds 5-8pm, Thurs & Friday 5-10pm), invest $10 and enjoy a glass of Juvé y Camps Rosé paired with rock shrimp ceviche. The fun continues all day Sat & Sun.
Books & Books Coral Gables is celebrating the season with a six-week wine appreciation series. Beginning June 30, students will meet & taste with UM instructor Patrick Alexande. Each session includes a tasting of four wines. Email to sign up.
Cafeina launches its new summer menu from its new exec chef Matthew Goldberg June 23. Look for signature tapas (truffle beef carpaccio, ahi tuna cakes, Kobe beef slider) and favorite classics like tuna tacos, goat cheese croquettes, empanads & truffle fries.
Christy's has extended its summer special throughout the month of June. Invest $35 and enjoy a three-course feast featuring spinach salad, filet mignon and a mixed nut brownie a la mode.
Joey's launches a summer happy hour. On Thursdays & Fridays from 6-7:30pm enjoy $10 house cocktails and complimentary pizza samplings.
Quattro is bringing the "decadent flavors of the Tuscan and Piedmont regions" to SoBe this season courtesy of its new summer menu. A la carte additions include polipo del Mediterraneaneo all griglia (grilled Mediterranean octopus), ravioli d’astice (Maine lobster ravioli in a saffron sauce) and Fiorentine di agnello alla griglia (grilled Colorado lamb T-bone).
Tobacco Road is celebrating late-night eats by awarding one dinner a free 1:30am breakfast briskito every weekday. Each night chef Jonathan Fisher scans the bar to see "who’s in for the long haul" and graces the lucky drinker with a corn tortilla loaded with scrambled eggs, beef brisket, veggies, peppers & pico de gallo.
