Here are some picks to start your hunt in Broward county.

Scarlett's, 2920 SW 30th Ave., Hallandale, 954-455-8318. Open noon-6 a.m. Mon-Fri, 6 p.m.-8 a.m. Sat-Sun.
Another chain strip club – there are branches in Orlando, West Palm Beach and other Florida locations – this one is conveniently located off I-95 at Hallandale Beach Boulevard. Primetime lap dances in the private booths will run $25, a few bucks more than the average. On most nights, about a dozen dancers work the poles, and most are friendly and attractive, though regular customers seem to get the best treatment.

Another Hallandale Beach girlie bar, the lively Cheetah offers several stages arrayed over three levels. About two-dozen women were working on a recent Wednesday night; good news for guys seeking many flavors of eye (and lap) candy. The downside: on the night we visited, women didn't make the rounds too much, and unless you bought a lapdance, only the fellows with ringside seats got bonus interaction.

Club Eden, 9670 NW 24th Court, Davie, 954-382-4864. Open 2 p.m. "until late'' every day.
Eden’s location – right in the thick of the strip malls along University Drive in Davie, an area more known for DSW and the Ale House than nude and friction dances – makes this club unique, but the quality of service and the number of dancers can be spotty on weeknights. At 8 p.m. on a recent weeknight, we walked into a nearly empty club – zero dancers on stage and few bodies in the seats. Best bet: Check the number of cars in the parking lot when you arrive. If the lot is full, plenty of action awaits. If not, well, DSW is close by.
