Street Chic: Heather Zaitz
We bumped into this beauty at The Palms Hotel & Spa. Check out Heather Zaitz's stylish stats after the jump.
Name: Heather Zaitz
Ethnic background: Half Jewish, half Cuban AKA "Jewban."
Profession: Director of Communications, The Palms Hotel & Spa
Spotted at: Bubbles & Beats at The Palms Hotel & Spa
The outfit: Cream cropped Batatelle leather jacket, Free People blouse, Guess taupe boots, Guess skinny pants, Jennifer Zeuner “H” initial necklace and Banana Republic necklace.
Go-to stores: "I love Bloomies in Aventura for staples as they carry brands like Theory, BCBG, AG Jeans and Marc Jacobs, which are among some of my faves. But right now, I'm really loving all the new little boutiques that are springing up where you can buy a cute trendy top for $50 and not break the bank," Zaitz says. "Addict and Vixon in North Miami are among my new favorites and I've been known to call in to see what they got in on a weekly basis. I think it’s all about mixing trendy, less expensive, rich-looking items with classic, well-made pieces that last forever for the right look," she adds.
Eyeing to purchase next: "I'm still holding out for a new pair of classic shoes and have been saving my pennies for peep-toe Louboutins in a classic color like black or taupe to carry me through all seasons. I think I'm ready to take the plunge next month!" Zaitz says. "I have plenty of crazy shoes, boots and sandles in unique styles and colors but need a great new classic shoe! I also need a sling-back wedge for Spring in a fun color, maybe from Tory Burch — she's my 'go to' for summer sandal," she adds.
Closet staples: Cardigans and shrugs in solids and patterns. "We all know Miami may be hot outside but it's so cold inside, everywhere," Zaitz says. "I'm also a jean junkie because they go with everything. I have about 30 pairs — I can't let go of my ones from college, especially since styles go in and out. I recently found AG Jeans that have a mid-rise which is great because moms play on the floor with their kids and showing your underwear is just not right," she adds.
Worst trend ever trend: Capris. "They just don’t work for me! I feel like they make me look stocky since I'm so short," she says.
Biggest fashion faux pas: Extremely high-waisted jeans. She says, "Need I say more?"
Style muses: Nicole Richie. "I think she has really grown in terms of style. I like that she does chic when its appropriate and when she wants to be comfortable she is all about jeans and flowy dresses. She has a great knack for accessories as well.I also think Kate Hudson has great style! I love her choices — she dazzles in sequins when it's time to dress up and looks cool and effortless when she is just chilling," Zaitz says.
