Stars making friends, coming together for Best Buddies Gala

Bring your friends to support Best Buddies Friday night.

The 16th Annual Zenith Watches gala has a Russia theme this year and an unusual venue: where the Marlins play and call home.

The party benefits Best Buddies International, a nonprofit dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Celebs expected to attend are actors James Caan, Christian Slater, Verne Troyer and Erik Valdez; actresses Paz de la Huerta and Vivica A. Fox; Best Buddies Ambassador and “Glee” star Lauren Potter; photographer and filmmaker Bruce Weber; Miss USA Olivia Culpo; Miss Teen USA Logan West; and Olympic medalists Carl Lewis and Gary Hall.

The event will feature a  cocktail hour, gourmet dinner,  live and silent auctions, and the Best Buddies Bash – a live performance by special musical guests Far East Movement and SkyBlu of LMFAO, on his own.

The cocktail hour starts at 6:30 p.m.
