The lowdown: Splendid savants, listen up: Everyone’s fave T-shirt brand — you guessed it, Splendid — popped up in Aventura Mall this Spring. Known for super soft tees in every color under the sun, the Aventura door marks the brands second standalone store. The Los Angeles-based label’s entire collections — Splendid, Splendid Mills (for men), Splendid Girl and Splendid Littles — are up for grabs.
The ‘hood: Nuzzled inside Aventura Mall on the first floor, Splendid’s neighbors include Aveda, BCBG and Sephora.
The vibe: Unequivocally California cool. Cloud-shaped lamps, white-oak floors, white-plaster walls, green living plants, white-lacquer shelves, wooden horse sculpture and blue-sky wallpaper ooze a light and airy feel. “The store is designed to make visitors feel instantly at home in an environment as comfortable as the collection,” president Jonathan Saven says.
The highlights: Scoop up the brand’s coveted cotton tanks ($46 and up), gauze shorts ($65), men’s hoodies (starting at $72) and kid’s tops ($44 and up).
The president says: “We are excited to announce the second opening of our second retail location in Aventura Mall, bringing the Splendid brand and signature lifestyle direct to consumers in South Florida,” Saven adds.
