The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts recently announced its 2013-2014 box office opening weekend with 30 new shows.

Instead of telling you about why you should spend your hard-earned dollars to support award-winning performances at the downtown Miami center, we'll just give you six reasons why the arts is good for the Miami soul. In light of the upcoming Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater performance, the arts is also good for the eyes.
