SIng Kelly and Suzy Sung with soy pepper "steak" and bubble tea at their newly opened restaurant Shing Wang in North Miami Beach on 167th Street.

Shing Wang

About

Taiwanese-style Chinese vegetarian food is served in the small space with simple décor in North Miami Beach. This stretch of 167th Street is as close to a Chinatown as we have, with lots of Asian shops and markets, and Shing Wang adds a vegetarian-friendly element to the mix. Pick your “meat” (made from soy) starch (rice or noodles), sauce and add-ins. You pretty much customize your dish here. Soups include hot and sour wonton and white radish. There is also bubble tea (with large tapioca pearls), shaved ice with jelly toppings and slushy ice (similar to a snow cone) and hot fruit tea with slices of apple and orange.
