Royal wedding date set

It's looking like April 29 will be a national holiday in Britain. That's the date Prince William and Kate Middleton will wed. It falls on a Friday.

It's looking like April 29 will be a national holiday in Britain. That's the date Prince William and Kate Middleton will wed. It falls on a Friday.

Their chosen venue, Westminster Abbey, is where Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother wedded and was the site of Princess Diana's 1997 funeral.

Jamie Lowther-Pinkington, the prince's secretary, told the BBC the couple felt the famed abbey, despite its huge size, offered intimacy: ``[They] are very, very keen indeed that the spectacle should be a classic example of what Britain does best.''

EXTORTION? SIGH

The drama continues in the Charlie Sheen saga.

NYC cops are investigating a harassment claim made by porn star Capri Anderson, who was found locked in the bathroom of Sheen's suite at the Plaza.

Within hours, the actor sued the Miami dancer, claiming her account was a lie and that she had sought $1 million from him to keep quiet.

Anderson told Good Morning America she was promised a $3,500 ``appearance fee'' for her night with the Two and a Half Men star.

GIVE UP THE GOODS

Courtney Love

in another dispute? Shocker.

Jacob the Jeweler says the singer hasn't returned nearly $114,000 worth of borrowed baubles, and is suing to get them back.

The rocker borrowed two white gold and diamond chains, a white gold bracelet and a pair of gold and diamond hoops in September, Jacob said in a lawsuit. Love reportedly only gave back the bracelet and told ``The King of Bling'' that she'd lost the other stuff.

OH, GROW UP

Taylor Momsen's bad girl act is catching up to her career: The Gossip Girl star is on an indefinite hiatus from the show.

Why? Probably because the 17-year-old, who is also a rocker in a band, reportedly requested a fully stocked bar in her dressing room for a recent concert (where she flashed her breasts).

Fashionisto Tim Gunn, who worked with Taylor on GG, told E! she was a ``pathetic brat.''

ON THE HEALTH FRONT

Michael Douglas

is OK, his famous father Kirk Douglas told Entertainment Tonight.

``Michael's appetite is back and he's starting to feel feisty again,'' Douglas, 93, said.

The Basic Instinct star, 66, revealed he had Stage IV throat cancer in August, and just finished up chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
