Robin Thicke and Paula Patton put the heat in Miami Heat
Sexy ad airs during Game 7

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton have no problem mixing business with pleasure. The Duets mentor, 35, and actress ( Precious, Mission Impossible 3: Ghost Protocol) have teamed up for a TV spot for one of their favorite adult beverages, Remy Martin VSOP cognac. In the ad, seen by millions Saturday night during Game 7, Thicke spies his wife, 36, at a glamorous party. She coyly flees, disrobing into a corset as she goes. They meet at the top of the building, which turns out to be a giant bottle of the high-end liquor. We’ll drink to that! The pair, married seven years, have worked together before. Patton sang a bit on the 2004 song Thicke produced for Usher, Can U Handle It and appeared in her hubby/R&B singer’s sexy 2006 video for Lost Without U. The parents of 2-year-old Julian couldn’t keep their hands off each other then, and still can’t now.
Maybe the couple who drinks together stays together? We chatted with what makes them tick:
All this teamwork, would you guys ever consider doing a reality show together?
PP: No....we’re keeping our reality off TV. But I just wrapped a movie called Disconnect with Alexander Skarsgaard and I’m about to do a film called Baggage Claim with Mark Wahlberg.
Robin, how are you enjoying the “Duets’’ gig?
RT: It’s been one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had. It’s such a rare opportunity to be able to find someone with such a unique talent, someone who’s truly gifted, and work as a team – a duet – on a platform like this. I think it’s different because there’s a strong connection because us and the talent we bring onto the show. I really get to know these people on a personal level. And the talent I’ve seen so far is beyond what I could’ve expected.
A lot of couples keep their private lives separate from their careers. What makes your relationship different?
PP: We have a lot of fun interacting [in a professional] setting. It’s great to be able to see Robin when he’s in the zone, when he’s working. It’s such a great side of him and I love the fact that I can experience it as part of a team.
RT: Who wouldn’t want the chance to work with Paula? Not only is she the love of my life, but she’s so talented and so beautiful. It’s really given me such a level of respect for her as a truly talented and gifted person.
