One of South Florida’s most unique dining experiences returns Dec 13 as Paradise Farms kicks off its fifth season of Dinner in Paradise. Venture to Homestead (trust us, it’s worth it) and dive into a locally-sourced feast under the stars courtesy of some of Miami’s most notable chefs. Each month features a different culinary team and all include a cocktail reception, farm tour and six-course wine-paired feast. $165, proceeds benefit The Education Fund. Shack Burgers Are Coming

Does Miami’s burger love have no end? NY restaurateur Danny Meyer (Union Square Café) is betting no as he plans to open his fifth Shake Shack (and first outside of NY) in Miami come spring/summer 2010. Located in the upcoming Herzog and de Meuron building at 1111 Lincoln Rd, Miami Shake Shack will feature all the classics – burgers, cheeseburgers, fried ‘shroom burgers, hot dogs, cheese fries, frozen custard and more. Come for the Shack Sauce & stay for frozen custard & a glass of shiraz.

The Cape Cod Room

We’ve always had a soft spot for the lobster shack. There’s something about pulling off the side of a gravely Maine road, salty & sweaty from a day at the Beach, snuggling into a worn hoodie and sliding up to a creamy crusty lobster roll. The ambiance and prices are quite different at North Beach’s new Cape Cod Room, but the cuisine is familiar. Expect lobster rolls, Quahog stew, Provincetown stew and more – and significantly steeper prices. Sara Liss takes a First Look.
