Steve Martorano has done it again. The tatted-out muscleman, who owns a Cafe Martorano in Fort Lauderdale and Las Vegas, is bringing his meatballs and mayhem to the Seminole Hard Rock. Martorano's Italian-American Kitchen will feature the sometime-DJ's signatures -- mammoth portions, deafening soundtrack, exhibition kitchen and celebrity guests. Opening night is Thursday, with red carpet appearances expected from Real housewife Kelly Bensimon, former Heat star Shaquille O'Neal and buddy Frank Stallone. Reservations: 954-584-4450.
Bet Kimora Lee Simmons wishes there were more than 24 hours in a day. The Baby Phat fashion designer, mom of three and reality star -- whose season 3 of Life in the Fab Lane premiered Sunday night on the Style Network -- has just launched a new scent. Dare Me is young and sexy, down to its hot pink bottle. Simmons (isn't it time the divorcee, now with her baby daddy Djimon Hounsou, drops Russell's surname?) says it was designed to empower women of all ages to ``own the catwalk and take center stage.'' But no worries, it's not just for models and actresses. Available soon for $44 at Sears, Target, Walgreens.
Taschen, an art book publisher that got its start in Germany 30 years ago, has finally landed in Miami Beach, with a shop in the new 1111 building on Lincoln Road. The company, which prints high-quality books about everything from comics to lesser-known art to fetishism, is notable most recently for its 2004 heavyweight: GOAT (Greatest of All Time), a Muhammad Ali bio weighing 75 pounds and filling nearly 800 pages. (The Champ's edition is on sale at taschen.com for a mere $15,000, though the Collector's Edition is $4,500.) While you might not be feeling that extravagant, the Philippe Starck-designed store is worth a look: Check out the floor-to-ceiling murals and hand-poured terrazzo floor made from native SoFla stones. Taschen.com or 305-538-6185.
Who doesn't love a good, old-fashioned sleeper? Former Entertainment Tonight! film critic Leonard Maltin lets you in on his faves in his new book, 151 Best Movies You've Never Seen (Harper Studio). Thankfully, his reviews are succinct and the list is hardly obscure -- most films are contemporary and almost all star someone you've heard of. His list ranges from romantic comedies like Priceless with Audrey Tautou to prison dramas like The Animal Factory and classic heist flicks like The Lookout. Have it handy as you browse Netflix. $16.99, amazon.com.
