Q and A: Brody Jenner

By Fred Gonzalez

In between events at the Rally at the Raleigh sponsored by Victoria's Secret Pink, we caught up with Brody Jenner inside the VIP tents to talk about Miami, dating and nightlife.

Q: Why do you like Miami?
A:
Miami is fun. It's got beautiful weather and it's always warm. I have a bunch of friends down here, so I always have a great time. I enjoy going out and the clubs are open until four (a.m.), and that's not the case in L.A. It's just always fun when I am down here.

Q: What's next for you on The Hills?
A:
Shooting a fourth season in April. So we are getting ready for that. There is going to be a lot of drama and a lot of excitement, hopefully more comedy and it will be fun.

Q: Why this event at the Raleigh?
A:
Spring Break. Victoria Secret. Miami. Could it get any better than that? There is beautiful women everywhere, and it's about having a good time, celebrating and welcoming spring.

Q: When you are in Miami, what nightclub do you enjoy and where do you like to eat?
A:
Nightclub would be Cameo. It's always fun and they know how to take care of people there. And to be honest I just usually eat hotel food. I don't have favorite restaurants I go to. I am an L.A. kid, as far as restaurants go.

Q: When someone says Miami, what comes to mind?
A:
I think of good people, fun parties and staying up late.

Q: Do you have any news on the relationship front?
A:
I keep my relationships to myself. I try to, at least. Truth is that I do have a significant other.

Q: How do you balance dating in the spotlight?
A:
You have to understand what is the spotlight. People watching you and everybody on a day to day basis. At some point it gets to a different level. I just choose to tune all that out and try and maintain a normal, regular
lifestyle. I grew up with a lot of good friends, and my mother has been amazing.
She taught me growing up that I need to concentrate on what's important - friends and family and your relationships and your friendships - and tune out everything else and never let it get to your head. So I try to do that everyday, and a lot of time's it's hard, you know, when you get treated like I do. But you always have to stay humble. That's the one thing you have to reiterate over and over - stay humble and stay to your roots, and where you grew up and where you came from.
To me this (party) is nothing. I am so appreciative of everything I have in my life and I do a lot of fun things, but this isn't real life. And if anybody thinks this is real life, they are idiots.
