And here comes more validation that a trend of high-end Peruvian cuisine is upon us: Embarcadero 41 Fusion has opened downtown at 168 SE First St.
The 150-seat restaurant is the first U.S. outpost for Embarcadero, which opened in Lima in 2002 and now has 11 locations in Peru and one in Ecuador. Behind the food is chef Carlo Huerta, a Peruvian native who takes "Old World dishes and applies New World creativity," according to press materials.
Some Embarcadero 41 signature items available in Miami include Peruvian classics like lomo saltado, anticuchos, tiraditos and, of course, ceviches. A full bar is available, and the restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner.
