One of my proudest moments is I didn't sell my soul for the sake of popularity. - George W. Bush
Hot Right Now…
Andy Warhol said everyone would be famous for 15 minutes. Who knew he was an artist and a prophet? While fame is fleeting, few would give up one second of it no matter how short one’s time with it may be. There’s a wonderful saying by Leonardo di Vinci that says “For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.” This week you’ll find frequent flyers and first timers of the mile high club on my list of who’s Hot Right Now…

George Tandy, Jr.
Born into a family of artists, Tandy was inspired early on by his father, George Tandy Sr. who says as a child you could find George listening intensely to any genre of music and attempting to pick out every instrument in the song. The proof is in his debut CD, The Foundation, and his first single "March.” This track is not standard R&B fare. It’s moody and serious, thoughtful and complicated, textured and inspired by history…which is precisely why it’s so darn HOT. George Tandy, Jr is creating brilliant music rich with honesty, vulnerability and raw emotion. He’s hitting all the right notes - R&B, folk, jazz, and soul with a hint of Hip-Hop played against his classical influences. Tandy calls it "soulternative." I call it ready for take off. Check out the single MARCH available now on ITunes.
This New Orleans native turned South Florida resident first tasted flight as a fashion stylist working with Will Smith, R. Kelly, and No Doubt. The release of her debut CD Complex Simplicity created an international buzz for Teedra who’s recently become more familiar to audiences for her collaboration with Rick Ross on God Forgives I Don’t. She’s hot right now with the first single All I ever Wanted from her forth coming CD, Cognac and Conversations. Click to listen here.
