By L'Occitane
Mark your Blackberrys. March 8th is International Women’s Day. In honor of this momentous occasion, L'occitane is introducing a limited-edition fair trade soap dedicated to the women of Burkina Faso (West Africa). Each soap retails for $8; and 100 percent of the profits will go to the L’occitane Foundation to help build literacy centers for women in Burkina Faso. Purchasing just one (1) soap at just $8 will buy three (3) bricks to build women’s literacy centers in Burkina Faso. The soap, made by Burkinabé women, is a gentle formula that contains an exceptional concentration of shea butter (52 percent). The motif engraved into the soap was designed by the Burkinabé artist Sougouri Sawadogo.
