Nightmare on the Beach
Having nothing to do with traffic, parking, shootings or scary zombie incidents, the Little Lighthouse Foundation's 3rd annual Halloween party of the same name will take place from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. Saturday, October 27 at The Bath Club. Not just any ordinary costume party, this one is being produced and designed by LIVE IT Productions International, which had a hand in the very trippy Olympics closing ceremonies in London. With food from Rosa Mexicano, Thierry's Catering, George's Stone Crab, My Ceviche and more, a Nitrogen Bar and over 26,000 square feet of themed rooms, the party may be anything but a nightmare. Tickets start at $150 and are available at www.nightmareonthebeach.com.
Full Moon on Monday
A safe(ish) haven from all the lunatics (pun intended) during Monday night's full moon, the Delano Beach Club and FDR will celebrate with a party from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. featuring a live drum circle performance, fire dancers, snake charmer and live art. All that and free Jack Daniels cocktails, too. Those at the party will be allowed into FDR after the pool party where there will be a big costume contest so go dressed as your best Honey Boo Boo, Binders of Women or whatever inspires you. For cabana and table reservations, call 305-924-4071.

Black Moth Super Rainbow
Sounds like a trippy Halloween party, but the experimental, enigmatic band of the same name best known for fusing psychedelica, folk, electronic and pop music is playing at 10 p.m. Tuesday, October 30 at The Stage. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 the day of the show. Expect to hear songs from their latest, er, oddity, Cobra Juicy.
Feathers & Lace
Euro-heavy hot spot Bâoli Miami is taking Halloween to a racy level by spinning its weekly My Boyfriend is Out of Town party into a masquerade affair with a strictly enforced dress code of black tie and mask for men and feathers and lace for women. Tickets are $50 which includes one drink (it better be a strong one) and a mask. Those who have dinner reservations that night and actually eat and pay don't have to buy tickets. DJ Stacie Todd will spin. For tickets go to www.baolimiami.com/.
Not all awareness groups are soapbox standing preachers; one in particular loves the suds, but stands atop a keg. That group is The Craft Brewjas, a local community organization preaching the gospel of craft and artisanal beers. As would be expected with such a group, they are celebrating the culmination of their month-long Oktoberfest with a Southern Social from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, October 26 at Yardbird Southern Table and Bar, where all beer on tap will be offered at 50 percent off. For more info on the group's events, go to www.facebook.com/CraftBrewjas.
Starting at 9:30 p.m. Friday, October 26, the Delano is going pink to raise money for The Breast Cancer Charities of America with a party named after the rosy hue. Bachelorette planning company Before The Knot is also involved with the party, which takes place poolside and costs a minimum donation of $10 which will get you a drink ticket at the poolside bar and FDR. Donations of $30 and up will get you gift cards for a wash and blow dry at BDry Blow Dry Bar. Those sporting the pink wristbands will get free admission into FDR from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. To RSVP, make a donation at http://beforetheknot.com/donate.
