Karess Swimwear takes the runway for charity
Local line Karess Swimwear is debuting its new collection this Sunday, August 5 at The Mayfair Hotel in Coconut Grove from 2 to 4 PM. Yet, this isn't your average fashion show with just beautiful bombshells in bathing suits. Designer Kristin Gilliam has teamed up with MTV and charity organization The Water Project to fuse style with a good cause.
Her new collection called Aqua Flow will be presented in the hotel's terrace floor with MTV's U4RIA Dance Crew opening the show with a performance. Tickets to the event cost $15 and include a seat at the show, complimentary sips and bites and mini massages from Jurlique Spa. Plus, a percentage of swimsuit sales from Gilliam's "Karess Love" suit will be donated to The Water Project a non profit which aims to provide clean water around the globe.
