Nikki Taylor will be at Tropical Park this Saturday
Supermodel mom, Nikki Taylor is leading the March of Dimes March for Babies Walk this Saturday at Tropical Park. We caught up with the South Florida native who has graced countless of glossies to find out why she decided to participate, what’s her favorite beauty brands as well as designers and what she’s doing these days.
Why did you decide to come on board March of Dimes's March for Babies Walk? I have always wanted to participate in some way and everything just finally came together. All of the multiple things they do in support of healthy babies and research of all kinds, I mean I am a mom of 4 healthy kids and so grateful for that.
What are you up to these days? I am a wife, mom of four then as far as professionally I host a new informational based show for women called “Having It Al”l airing Friday’s on WEtv. I still model, make appearances and all the rest of the things that a modern mom would do as in one who has a family and works out of the home.
Are you do anything related to fashion and beauty these days? Yes, I am, as you know I have a 5-month-old so I am just now getting back to work after his arrival. I get to play dress up when I’m on catalog shoots, commercials, etc. Still love it and am so privileged to get to continue it.
Do you miss your modeling days and do you have plans of going back? I don’t miss them as I still get to do it pretty often. Maybe not on magazine covers as that particular part of modeling has changed and I was fortunate to have done hundreds of those.
You grew up in Pembroke Pines which is really close to Miami. What do you think of Miami evolving fashion, art and music scene? I love it. I currently live in Nashville, TN, but my family is still in Pembroke Pines so I’m here often.
At 37-years-old, you look amazing and in great shape. What's your secret? Not really any secrets just a decision to be active. Make sure I drink lots of water, get sleep when I can and right food/exercise is so important.
Any favorite beauty products, that you can share with us Miami girls? Kanebo creamy soap, Sorme pressed powder (wet or dry), love all of Two Faced products, Ellis Faas for their eye shadows.
What are your favorite fashion labels and designers and why? It changes and I have many, but at the moment would say Jenna Lyons, Jason Wu, Vince, C&C California. All of these really fit well in my everyday life.
During your free time what do you like to do? Gosh, I don’t have lots of free time, but would say spending time with my husband and kids. We love to be outside and just hanging out.
Future goals? Well, be a good wife, raise my kids well and I have always wanted to have my own brand and believe that I represent the everyday woman. So hopefully you will see that soon. Live life to its fullest.
