Want to take part in Fashion Week — Miami style?
Then slap on some dapper duds and shimmy on over to FUNKSHION: Fashion Week Miami Beach as they celebrate their 16th season. A blend of fashion and music, the two-block long, state-of-the-art fashion and event tents will be built directly the sand, with an entrance on 10th Street and Ocean Drive in Lummus Park in the heart of Miami Beach. And did we mention almost every event is FREE and open to the public? Yes!
Revelers can expect a four-day long event providing an original platform for progressive and established designers to showcase their collections to media, celebrities, international buyers and select style makers. The shows are geared towards designer diffusion collections and innovative lifestyle brands. Integrating music into their shows, many designers personally select their favorite celebrity DJs and bands to preside over their runway shows.

MARCH 22nd: 8 p.m. Richie Rich and Pachi Lake will host a kick-off dinner party at EDEN restaurant (23rd and Collins). The public can attend but will need to book a table at the restaurant by clicking here: www.edensouthbeach.com.
MARCH 23rd: 8 p.m. Opening night! SEXXY POP by Richie Rich and Pachi Lake. At 9 p.m. there's VILLIONAIRE by Richie Rich with creative director Angelo Lambrou. Runway fashion shows will be followed by an afterparty in tents until midnight.
MARCH 24th: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Multiple, consecutive fashion shows by Miami International University of Art and Design students. From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. there's the Italian TV Moda runway show with designs from Roberto Cavalli, Vivienne Westwood, Blumarine Iceberg, Alberta Ferretti, Moschino, Stella McCartney, Byblos, Parah and VDP. MARCH 25th: 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. FASHION LOVES HAITI: Changing the perception of fashion through Haiti's leading designers. As a follow-up to last year’s Earthquake Relief Show for Haiti, these designers will exhibit an array of fashion talents and achievements. The presentation will shine the light on the island and the role that fashion can play in the rebuilding efforts. This will be an exceptional display of creativity beyond all odds while overcoming numerous adversities. A special presentation by Michael Capponi on the work he has accomplished in the past year is also anticipated.
MARCH 26th: 11 p.m. FUNKSHION presents Masquerade Motel featuring fashion shows by Indashio and the Blonds with a performance by Swedish House Mafia. Sorry folks, this event is sold out for the public.
