Gay tourists have a new South Florida destination – the Lords South Beach. The 54-room hotel in the former Nash Hotel space is billing itself as the first gay boutique hotel brand in the United States. The hotel features three plunge pools, the Cha Cha Rooster Restaurant & Bar, a digital concierge by Out Magazine and the Lords Social Network – Check(It)Out, which allows guests to connect with other Lords travelers. Absolut Vodka has co-branded the bar, Levis has designed the uniforms and the company has partnered with five gay charities to designate Rooms That Matter, for which 10% of proceeds will benefit charity. The hotel is softly opening Nov 21 and officially opening Jan 2011. Expect events galore for the White Party, Basel, etc.
