Creative Designer Joshua Barrett says, “We’ve brought the New York-style salon and spa experience to Miami.” And Barrett is spot-on with his statement. Named after Venezuelan owner Miller Gonzalez, the salon’s recent beauty bungalow addition — M Studio Spa Room — adds a tranquil touch with facials, mani/pedis and waxing treatments.

The 'hood: Bundled on Biltmore Way, Miller’s Studio is a hop, skip and jump away from Miracle Mile AKA Downtown Coral Gables.

The vibe: “We’re all about being modern and minimalistic,” Barrett says. Pickled-wood floors, stark white walls adorned with single red roses, black contemporary pendant lamps and bamboo shoots seep a sleek spirit. A dimly lit shampoo lounge (a Miami first for this spa reporter!) allows guests to truly relish rinses and scalp massages.

The highlights: Miller is a master when it comes to manes (cuts start at $65) and Barrett prides himself on doing it all — from hair to makeup application ($85) with the salon’s very own mineral-based M Studio products to eyelash extensions by NovaLash ($250) to eyebrow shaping ($40). Barrett’s portfolio, in particular, reads like the pages of US Weekly, as he’s beautified the likes of Mariah Carey, Eva Mendes and Demi Moore.

Signature spa treatments with all-natural Éminence Organic Skin Care include Oxygenating ($90) and Rosacea ($90) facials.

“We pride ourselves on offering clients VIP treatment beginning the minute they walk in the door with complimentary mimosas, champagne or freshly brewed cappuccinos,” Gonzalez says.
