Two featured exhibits will be on display over the course of the month at FIUs Frost Art Museum, including works by Welsh artist Geoffrey Olsen and Argentine-born (but Spaniard bred) artist - and poet - Horacio Sapere.
Sapere compiled works for his exhibition, "Poet's Room. Teorema," by pulling inspiration from poetry - he uses sculpture and paintings "to tackle the solitary condition of the poetic word."
Olsen's work is a tad different. The Welsh artist uses oil paint in layers, creating vibrant, free-flowing works of art aroused by his time in England, Miami and Merthyr Tydfil (that's in Wales, folks).
The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum is located at Florida International University at 10975 S.W. 17th Street in Miami
Museum Hours: Tue-Sat: 10am-5pm; Sun: noon-5pm. Closed Mondays.
