Now, you don't have to be in the market for a $10,000 bathtub to shop in the Design District.

SoBe style staple En Avance bid adieu to Lincoln Road and is now calling the Design District home. For over 15 years, the celebrated women's, men's, children's and home boutique reigns as the go-to shop for the most fashion-forward designs.
As for the leap across the causeway to the de rigueur DD, owner Karen Quinones says, "I decided to pioneer a new area as I did on Lincoln Road in the early '90s." En Avance's new digs aren't too shabby, either. Fourteen-foot exposed ceilings and concrete floors create an open minimalist ambiance. Quinones adds, "There's white lacquer furniture from Calligaris and a custom-made stainless steel desk, shoe section and jewelry bar which I designed along with very spacious dressing rooms."
There are also lots of labels to love, too. Jasmine di Milo, Etro, Robert Rodriguez Black Label, Majestic Paris, Loeffler Randall, DSquared, Band of Outsiders, Conference of Birds, Elijah, Smythe, Santa Maria Novella, Kotur, Irene Neuwirth and more special items are in store. Known for her keen fashion sense and ability to carefully edit collections, Quinones says, "My buying strategy is to offer a very streamlined selection of global designers where each piece stands alone. For this past spring market, I traveled to New York, New Zealand, Paris and Spain and will have several new designers which I'm very excited about."
What should clients now expect? Quinones says, "In the Design District I took it up a notch and really focused on being fabulous. Nothing is ordinary - everything is extraordinary, from my T-shirts made in Paris to my luxe belts and handbags."
