Saying sayonara to Star Island: Donald and Lisa Pliner. The shoe mogul has sold a majority of his company to Boston-based Castanea Partners, former vice chairmen of Neiman Marcus and will be putting his Miami Beach manse up for sale and heading west with his family to Malibu at the end of the year. The decision came so he could spend more time with his daughter, wife and beloved dog Babydoll, says Pliner, who will still develop the Lisa for DonaldJ Pliner line and oversee the design, creativity and marketing elements of the company, which will open a flagship store in NYC this year. “I love Miami, but have always wanted to go back to Malibu, where it all started.” Pliner tells us they will still maintain a place in Miami too.

An open casting call for paid extras for the new Charlie’s Angels TV series that will be filmed in Miami will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Doubletree Hotel 1717 N. Bayshore Drive. Rules? 18 and over and, says a casting agent, “We want you to look your best; this is shooting as present day Miami. Bring your high class party outfits! This is not Miami Vice.
