Miami Music Week and Winter Music Conference continue on South Beach with another week of out-of-control, non-stop parties featuring DJs from around the world taking over our city.  Each and everyday there is something to do, a DJ to check out, and plenty of dancing. With so much to see and do I recommend using up some of your sick days because events should definitely not be missed!  Here are my top party picks.

TUESDAY, MAR. 20


Benny Benassi and Friends

LIV is going to be BA-NA-NAS on Tuesday as techno house DJ Benny Bennasi takes over the decks and he’s not coming alone.  Dance all night to music by international superstars such as Martin Solveig, Congorock, and Harvard Bass.   It all starts at 11pm.

The party continues at LIV with great events all week. Wednesday rock out with Roger Sanchez on the Fontainebleau Ocean Lawn, then head to Boys Noize at Arkadia at night or check out Laidback Luke for the Super You and Me event at LIV.  Thursday you won’t want to miss Tiesto with Cedric Gervais at LIV.  Friday the action continues with the F*** ME I’m Famous featuring David Guetta and Nicky Romero, and Saturday finish off with Erick Morillo. WEDNESDAY, MAR. 21

Haze Las Vegas presents Illusive All Stars at the Delano

Start your day early as the iconic Haze Nightclub in Las Vegas comes to Miami to present the LLUSIVE All Stars Breast Cancer Benefit with DJ’s Danny Howells, One+One, Hybrid, Desyn Masiello, and Demi & Dory.  Party for a cause as a portion of the bar proceeds will go to the  Susan G Komen Fund presented by the Light Group.

 After you’ve had enough fun in the sun, check out the new lounge FDR for a performance by Lil Louis Vega.

 

THURSDAY, MAR 22

The Nervous Festival

Pacha NYC along with Nervous Records and RPM present the Nervous Music Festival featuring music by headliners Oscar G, Sander Kleinenberg, Peter Rauhofer, Christian Arango and Theo along with a sunrise session by local favorites Little Louie Vega and Rony Seikaly.  Other DJs on deck that night include Alex Poxada, D-Formation, David Berrie, David Solano, Ivano Bellini, Jean Pierre, Junior Sanchez, Louie Corrales, Miss Jennifer, Palz & Garcia, Ralph Falcon, Treasure Fingers, and many more.  One venue, multiple rooms, and over two dozen DJs rocking out until 10am.

Ferry Corsten WKND Tour at Space

When it comes to WMC, there’s always one place that comes to mind- SPACE!  This week they have a sick line-up that includes some of the most notable names in the electronic music scene.  Thursday night get ready to dance all night featuring music by special guests Ferry Corsten, John Dahlback, and Aly & Fila for the Ferry Corsten WKND album release event.  Tickets start at $40 before midnight and $60 for main room access before 2am.

If you want to party it up on the Terrace you’ll be in for a special treat, a 14-hour Marathon set featuring Luciano, Reboot, Kenny Larkin, Michel Cleis, Robert Dietz, and more.  For all tickets to any of the events at Space.

FRIDAY, MAR. 23

No Sugar Added at Nikki Beach

This is what WMC/MMW is all about- the legendary No Sugar Added party is taking over Nikki Beach for a two-day event featuring over 20 DJs throwing it down on the turntables each day.  Some of the big names that will be partying it up at the infamous Nikki Beach Sands include Carl Craig, Gabriel & Dresden, Paul Oakenfold, Heidi, Joachim Garraud, Sharam, EC Twins, Mogaui, Arty, Bart B More, Felix Da Housecat, and many more. 

Both Friday and Saturday the fun kicks off at noon and goes until 5am.  You must be 21+ to get in and pre-sale tickets are on sale at Wantickets.com.

 

SATURDAY, MAR. 24

Dim Mak Pool Party at Dream Hotel

The famed annual Dim Mak Pool Party is taking over the newest posh hotel on South Beach, The Dream Hotel this weekend and it’s going to be epic.  Saturday get ready to dance it out for the Obey the Kitty Miami edition pool party from noon until 9pm with a slue of DJs from all over.  Talk about an amazing line-up, so far the DJs that will be taking a turn on the decks include Felix Da Housecat, Sidney Samson, Rehab, Joachim Garraud, Junior Sanchez, Dirty Phonics, Peace Treaty, Clock Work, Sonic C, and more to be announced throughout the week. 

Then after the sun goes down, get ready for the EDM Showcase with music by Styles Complete, Beatnox, Silver Medallion, and more from 9pm till 4am.

SUNDAY, MAR. 25

Unacceptable Sundaze Sunset Ritual presents Louie Vega & Friends

South Beach is all about the pool parties and during WMC and Miami Music Week, they are all on another level.  This week in honor of the festivities Unacceptable Sundaze is closing out the weekend with a special line-up featuring Louie Vega, Anane, and some of his friends.  They'll be rocking poolside from noon until 9pm. For table reservations call 786-276-6772.  Admission is at the discretions of the doorman and cover charge is $20 to get in.

 

Ultra Carryon presents Armin Van Buuren & More

Close out Miami Music week with the Ultra Records Carryon Session at Mansion 360 featuring Armin Van Buuren, Gabriel & Dresden, W7W and Jochen Miller.  Finish off strong dancing the night away to some of the best in trance, electro, and progressive house with hits like “Stellar”, “Colours”, and “Suddenly Summer” to name just a few. Doors open at 10pm, must be 21+ and dress code is trendy chic.

Mansion 360 has an outstanding line-up of events throughout the week and with the recent facelift I suggest you make it out to at least one, two, or three of the nights.  Tuesday party it up with at the Dim Mak Miami showcase featuring Steve Aoki, AutoErotique, Nervo, John Dahlback and more.  Wednesday get ready to rock with Alesso, Otto Knows, and one more surprise guest.  Thursday night, Fly Eye Records and Cr2 present Miami 2012 feat Calvin Harris, MYNC, Nicky Romero, Jidax, and Micheal Woods. Friday Ultra Carryon presents Dirty South with Tommy Trash and Thomas Gold followed on Saturday with JACKED featuring Afrojack, R3hab, Shermanology, Quintino and Bobby Burns.
