The Gables welcomes its first Asian gastropub as Pao Town opens on Ponce. Billed as "Eastern cuisine with a Western twist," Pao Town promises an eclectic menu of mains, salads, buns and sides. Think shrimp truck scampi (pictured), flattened chicken salad, pork belly buns, American Kobe sliders and bacon fried rice. Prices cap out at $13 (for the sashimi poke salad), service is counter-style and ambience skews Asian industrial chic. 2624 Ponce de Leon Blvd, Coral Gables; 305-760-4726
