If you think it's no fun to watch advertising spots, the Clios Awards, the advertising equivalents of the Academy Awards for movies or the Cesars in films at Cannes/France, will change your mind.

The clips shown here are the best in the world, selected from many countries and figuring hilarious, tender, creative, moving and beautiful little pieces of art work. Imagine watching a very good movie under a minute, hundreds of them. Oh joy!

Advertising pioneers, gurus, renegades, mold-breakers, icons, mischief-makers, visionaries, geniuses and legends are all good candidates for the Clio.

Originally conceived to honor American advertising, the awards expanded to include international work and today receives more than 20,000 entries annually, 65 percent of which come from outside the US.

The event is held this year at the Gansevoort South Hotel on Miami Beach, May 15-17, except for the Awards gala taking place at the Fillmore Miami Beach (at the Jackie Gleason Theater) and the after-party poolside at the Delano Hotel.

Tickets are still available and pricing is as follows:

All-inclusive Clio Passport for four days: $1050.

Festival Opening Cocktail Party - May 14: $200

   Lifetime Achievement Event - May 15: $300
