El Puerto Vallarata Restaurant

Folks flock to this casa de mariscos for south-of-the-border seafood and other Mexican dishes. The sponged walls are in sunset tones and colorful serapes serve as tablecloths. Nibble on chips and salsa that arrive once you are seated. Seafood cocktails come in huge goblets that two can share. Caldos (soups) brim with fish or shrimp and chunks of vegetable, served with rice and warm tortillas. Seafood platters and combos are popular, including chile-marinated grilled shrimp, seafood enchilada, seafood-stuffed crab and lobster in butter and garlic. Carnivores can feast on fajitas, burritos, tacos, flautas chalupas and enchiladas. End with cheese cake sandwiched between sugar-dusted, fried, flour tortillas. 10am-10pm daily
