Miami Book Fair International runs Nov. 9 - Nov. 16 with writers from all over the globe -- plus a street fair, Nov. 14-16, a Children's Alley and much more.

Here are some of the main events:

SUNDAY EVENTS

''An Evening With Tavis Smiley and Cornel West'': 7 p.m., Chapman. Free tickets required; download at www.miamibookfair.com. Tickets for unfilled seats will be distributed to the standby line on a first-come, first-served basis before each event.

MONDAY EVENTS

''An Evening With David Sheff'': 8 p.m., Chapman Conference Center. Free tickets required; download at www.miamibookfair.com. Tickets for unfilled seats will be distributed to the standby line on a first-come, first served basis before each event.

THURSDAY EVENTS

''An Evening With Anthony Bourdain and Mario Batali'': 6 p.m., Auditorium. Free tickets required; download at www.miamibookfair.com. Tickets for unfilled seats will be distributed to the standby line on a first-come, first served basis before each event.

I like the book fair... u have the best deals on book and i like to meet the authors .... u learn about different culture and there always good distraction for kids... it offers great opportunities, you meat new people and enjoy the sun... ... Read more
