  • Head to the Design District tonight and enjoy culinary samplings from Joey’s, Michael’s Genuine, Pacific Time and others during DASH’s second annual Taste of Design. Nearly 450 guests are expected to attend the fundraiser. $100 per person at dashschool.org.
  • Get proactive in the kitchen this Sunday at the Four Season’s Thanksgiving 101 cooking class. Come 3pm, Chef Patrick Boucher will lead a hands-on session surveying brining, stuffing, roasting a turke and other holiday basics. $35 per person, call 305-381-3190 for details.
  • Wine & dine with Gotham Steak and Kamen Vineyards Wednesday Nov 11 at a six-course wine pairing dinner.   • Sip you way into the fight against HIV with a grapefruit spritz or orange blossom bizz as part of Area 31’s Cocktails for a Cure. Now through Dec 1 (World AIDS Day), the hotel is donating $1 of each specialty cocktail purchase to Care Resource. Call 305-424-5234 for details and hours.
  • Celebrate Sushi Samba DROMO’s 10-year anniversary by digging into aspecial $79 Omasake (chef’s choice) menu.  Omasake is available every Wednesday now through the end of the month and highlights include tuna tartar, south American beef maki roll, pan-seared scallops, lobster tempura roll and teriyaki braised short rib.
  • Expand your burger palette this month as 8oz Burger Bar adds new specialty & house burgers to its menu. Dig into the Sausage Burger (andouille sausage, bel paese cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, red sauce), the Thanksgiving Dinner Burger (turkey burger, hash brown, sautéed spinach, mirepoix stuffing, cranberry sauce), the Breakfast Burger (applewood smoked bacon, aged cheddar, lettuce, tomato, fried onions, BBQ sauce) and more.
