Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza
Doral gets a slice of Miami's favorite pie.
Third time's a charm for Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza. The Fort Lauderdale-based concept and our Best of South Florida Best Pizza winner opens its third Miami Dade location today in Doral (location 2 opened in Pinecrest about a month ago). Locals can look forward to Anthony's signature "well done" pizza, baked in four minutes in the chain's 800-degree coal-fired ovens.
The traditional pie consists of Italian plum tomatoes, romano cheese, basil and olive oil. Specialty pies include the Eggplant Marino (named after that Marino) and the Paul & Young Ron (named after local radio personalities) with meatballs, sausage, hot or sweet peppers & ricotta cheese. Also on the Anthony's hit list - signature chicken wings, roasted in the coal oven and served with grilled onions and foccacia.
