Layla is a Moroccan restaurant bringing the true flavors and spices of Northern Africa to Miami in a modern and fresh approach, featuring a concise menu of savory mezze (appetizers), pastilles
(layered meat or fish dishes within phyllo dough), and a variety of couscous and tagines. It was created for guests to delve into the marriage of these contrasts, with Moroccan inspired
creations transformed into contemporary savory dishes. The menu will also include delicate pastries as desserts. The dishes will feature traditional items such as rose water, sesame oil,
spiced lemon and olives, and roasted almonds which are typical things found in a Moroccan kitchen.
Layla is Arabic for “night beauty.” The name holds true to the experience for guests who come to dine in the beautiful night with enticing belly dancers glistening through the tables to the
sound of modern Arabic music, while the intense energy in the room makes their senses come alive.
Celebrity Chef Angelo Sosa, who created the menu, was voted one of the ten Best Upcoming Chefs in the world. Angelo was Jean George's protégé for several years. He opened and was
culinary advisor to renowned restaurants such as Budakahn and Morimoto in NYC, as well as redoing the menu for Ducasse in Paris.
