Nightlife Halloween Guide 09
Halloween is here so it’s a no rules weekend to let your inner freak come out. Here are some picks on where to head out for a spooktacular evening.
Are you Trickin-or-Treatin?!
(All events are for Saturday, Oct. 31 and begin at 11 p.m. unless otherwise noted.)

Phantom of the Opera at SET.
The newly renovated SET will be completely transformed for Halloween and will take you back into the 1920’s era. Think sexy and glamorous with bouquets of red roses hanging from the ceiling, candelabras, chandeliers, and holograph crosses, a large masquerade mask and the staff itself will be decked out in Phantom costume. The music is going to be ridiculous with opera singers joining DJ Chicco Secci for a sick opera-house mash up!
Official Playboy Halloween Party at the Shore Club.
It’s all about bunnies, babes, and bustiers as Playboy brings its hottest playmates to Sky Bar at the Shore Club. Dance the night alongside “Miss September 2009” Kimberly Phillips, “Miss December 2005” Christine Smith, and other playmates all in full Bunny gear. Starts at 9 p.m.
House of Sodom at Louis.
Prepare for some serious bondage and mystery at Louis at the Gansevoort. This party isn’t for the weary; Louis will be transformed into an ultimate S&M scene with live candle wax shows, shape-shifting objects, spandex and black latex fabric stretched across the room, and an ultra erotic “art of Masturbation” performance. The staff will all be in full bondage gear to complete the décor and set the mood; do you dare enter the House of Sodom?
Halloween with DJ Joachim Garraud at Mansion.
Internationally known DJ Joachim Garraud and Laurant Simeca take over the turntables. Known for his style of mixing musical improvisation into his DJ sets, Joachim Garraud gives you a genuinely true concert experience! He’s taking over Mansion for a special performance that will send shivers up your spine, perfect for Halloween!
TerraWeen at Cameo.
Halloween wouldn’t be complete without the famous Cameo theater re-opening its’ doors for a celebration full of eroticism and sex appeal with the sexy Tera Patrick as Mistress of Ceremonies. This internationally know porn-star and FHM hottie will take over Cameo for a night of seduction making it one lustful party you don’t want to miss.

Mischief in the Garden of Agave at Wet.
The W Hotel has put together a Halloween party filled with complimentary custom Hornitos cocktails also known as “Horntails” provided by Hornitos Tequila from 9 p.m. – 11 p.m. The spirit of Halloween is captured in the ornate décor featuring smoking cauldrons, spider webs and more. DJ Stonerokk will rock the decks poolside while Angel and Demon go-go dancers keep the party going. Once 11 p.m. hits step in to the W’s exclusive nightclub, WALL, and party until 4 a.m. with DJ Andy Caldwell!
“The Cat’s Meow” at The Raleigh.
Are you ready for the “Cat’s Meow”? This year one of Miami’s oldest and iconic hotels will turn the famous penthouse in to a 1920’s speakeasy lounge for a Halloween soiree! This is a full costume event and guests are encouraged to dress in theme and even evoke their inner Coco Channel, Al Capone, Charlie Chaplin and Josephine Baker. It’s all about the glitz and glam. The night will be hosted by scenesters Nick D’Annunzio, Jose Ortiz and Martin Krediet. DJ Ruen will keep all the sexy flappers and gangsters entertained with what’s set to be a trip back in time to the “Cat’s Meow”. Tickets are $20 and include a premium drink ticket. Starts at 9 p.m.
Haunted Spazio 2 at Spazio Nero.
At this 80’s themed party there’s going to be a costume contest with 1st place winner receiving a $500 cash prize and 2nd place winner winning a dinner for four. Top three contestants will all receive a special gift bag. Chucky, Freddy, and Jason will all be waiting for you, can you handle it?
The Other Halloween…Where 1972
Gen Art and Supermarket Creative take you back to old Hollywood and the era of 8mm smut, so prepare for your close-up. Picture Rollergirl, Dirk Diggler and the 1970’s porn movie décor brought to life at The Awarehouse complete with all the sleaze and glamour of the times of disco. Miami musician José el Rey will host the event with music provided by Son of Sound, Drrty Haze, and Afrobeta. This is a strict 21 and older party with complimentary cocktails all night. Head to The Awarehouse for this one of a kind party where gritty is sexy; tickets costs $20.00 and all costumes are welcome!
These are just a few of the bone-chilling events that are going down Halloween on South Beach this year for more info be sure to check Miami.com’s calendar. I leave you with my last suggestion; if you don’t want to hit the clubs another fabulous option is to hit the scene on Lincoln Road. The Ghouls and Ghosts will all be out as Lincoln Road transforms into a giant block party. Sit back and enjoy a cocktail at one of the many restaurants and take in the parade of outlandish and out of control costumes.
