New York Fashion Week Designers Make "Miami" Winter Clothes
Rachel Zoe, Mara Hoffman and Nicole Miller offer Miami the perfect winter wardrobe.

There was lots of boho flair on the runway at Rachel Zoe, Nicole Miller and Mara Hoffman on days two and three of Fall 2012 New York Fashion Week. The look drew heavy from the late 60s and early 70s. Breezy flowy frocks in array of prints were met with winter essentials like floppy hats, velvet blazers and plenty of boots making these collections ideal for Miami’s climate.

Inspiration: “First I saw this picture of Jimi Hendrix that I though was really cool and then I started seeing some 70s movies and pictures of Marianne Faithful. I started thinking about how those times parallel today so I called the show Parallel Times,” said Miller backstage. “The collection is great for Miami,” she added.
The Collection: Florals, floppy hats, fringe, suede vests, patchwork leather, mini skirts and shorts.

Inspiration: “South American Shaman Cowboys.”
The Collection: Intricate beading, knits and coats with leather applique, The third eye symbol, tassles, Magic Carpet, stars, meteorites featuring astrology and Mayan calendar references, Kilim inspired by Turkish prayer rugs, long chiffon flowing gowns, short fitted dresses with sexy cut-out details. Oversized wool Magic Carpet print scarves and wide-brimmed hats in black and brown.

Inspiration: The rock and roll glamour of London in the late 60s and fashion icons Marianne Faithful and Mick Jagger.
The Collection: Shaggy faux fur coats, floppy hats, mini dresses, shorts, classic tweed and glamourous floor skimming sequin frocks.
